I find that leaving pets alone for a bit, yet staying in the room, makes them want to be with me more. Electra knows she has the upper paw and she is milking it. Go, Electra! ;-)

When my family went on vacation (when I was still living with my parents and sister), our doggie went to stay at the “doggie hotel”, a service run by his veterinarian. He was so well taken care of by the staff, that he didn’t miss us at all!
