Being excessively obtuse is annoying Irving. Just call it dessert and pray it goes well.

I know several people (OK, MEN!) who talk to me like this. (but not Cathy’s neurotic subjects) Conversations with them are very hard, so I give up.

Just having this phone conversation is tempting gossip.

Irving. it is the same people as ‘they’ as in ‘they say that . . .’. You will never get a specific answer to your questions so give up and enjoy dessert.

Heavy rains last night caused sections of the sides of our trench for the footings to cave in. Spent the morning helping to shovel out the wet clay (not easy to do) and pump out the water. Then enjoyed a respite while watching the team pour the concrete. Water level in the lake rose quite a bit since yesterday but we should still have time to reassemble the blocks for the retaining wall before it gets too high.
