Well, frankly, that’s more interesting than anything I have in mind this year. I was so busy getting ready for the Christmas blahs I completely forgot we have the whole “New Years” thing coming up. …ugh
We will have the same fun as last year. To raise funds for the local hospital’s Care Close to Home campaign (our provincial government no longer purchases equipment for our hospitals so they have to raise their own money) a member of our community organized “Fireworks on the lake” which will be held again this year. Most property owners around the bay purchased at least one firework pac to set off at 8:00pm which results in about 12 kilometers of fireworks. In addition, a helicopter flies around the bay at 2:00pm making a video recording of everyone outside enjoying the winter weather. Drones are used to capture the fireworks and both will be livestreamed and also posted on YouTube. I will post a link to the videos once I know what they are. I will wave to everyone! As a bonus the weather is predicted to be occasional flurries with temps just below freezing. A good day to be outside – with a fire to help keep warm.
