Cathy’s dad is glad that this isn’t directed at him. Love how he’s “helping” by holding the phone, haha. To most everyone, things get complicated as we get older. And I can’t imagine how crazy computers seem to someone who did not grow up with them.

I have lived this scenario – often. Even though I make my living developing software I still feel just like Cathy’s mom. I know computers are self aware and like to play little tricks on their users every now and again. There cannot be any other reasonable explanation for some of the things that have happened.
Fortunately today my computer is behaving itself. I hope your devices are being nice to you too.
Luckily, I started working with computers over 50 years ago, so I’ve been able to evolve with the changes. I cringe when I think that my parents wouldn’t even be able to figure out their TV anymore if they were still alive. There are still times when I would gladly take an axe to it if I had one.

My grandsons are very good at helping me in all things computer. Just wish they’d use English when explaining.
