YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK YAK Cathy: I can't believe it's been three years since I saw you, Charlene! Charlene: Me, either! It doesn't feel as if any time's passed at all! Cathy: We worked at the same place for so many years! Charlene: Coming in early, leaving late...ordering breakfast, lunch and dinner together! Cathy: It's the unbreakable bond of office sisterhood. Charlene: "Related by take-out"!

Or just office friends. I’ve worked long hours with people and we bonded more over work issues than we did take-out. We usually chatted more about the crazy customer stories and office gossip, but I guess this is our dear Cathy…
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Wednesday! Have a great day, all!

Office family can be as important as home family. …sort of sad, that.

vaughnrl2003 is right – office family can be more important than home family especially as O-Kay said you may see and work closely with the people in your office longer hours than you get to spend with your home people.
Two more sleeps until we start our trip south to make sure Mickey and Minnie are still ok. Getting excited now!Have a fantastic day today!

I understand how life can be super-busy and there isn’t always enough time in the day to get the things done that need to be done, but how on earth do you live in the same town with one of your best friend’s and yet, you don’t see them for three whole years? Or even talk to them on the phone every now and then to at least find out that they’ve had a second baby since you last saw them (or, in Charlene’s case, let one of her best friend’s KNOW that she has had a second baby since they last saw each other!)?!? I find that incredibly sad! :-(
I’ve lived 500 miles away from my family and friends for the last four years now, and while I don’t get to make that trip back home to Indiana in order to see them as often as I’d like (especially with a pandemic going on for the last year-and-a-half), I still make a point of communicating with them as often as everyone’s schedules allow — if not by phone, then at least through emails and texts. Anything to let them know that I love them, miss them, and am thinking about them (and they do the same with me). That’s why the idea of Cathy and Charlene not speaking to each other at all for the past three years just completely boggles my mind! But now that they’ve finally reconnected, hopefully they’ll never let their friendship fall by the wayside like that ever again.

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
karlykru: So sorry I missed your youngest “Guardian Angel’s” 53rd birthday on Monday! I meant to let you know that I was thinking of you that day, but I’ve been so busy lately that I never even made it here to “Cathy’s Corner” the last couple of evenings to at least read the comics and the comments before I went to bed. Hope you had a good day filled with many happy memories of her and your time together. Love you! ♥

Even the baby in panel four looks happy about this take-out news. Looks like he/she woke up just in time for the news, too. A win for me!
HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

I understand busy … over a week behind on GoComics … again! Holidays are making it challenging; so much work to get done on the in-between days. :-( I got through my day, not happily, but that goes with the territory. (At this point, birthdays are harder than the death anniversary. We tend to mourn the future.)
I’m back to myself again. The new nebulizer has taken me back to one breathing treatment/day and that feels fantastic! I hope your days have returned to normal busy. Love you, too! ♥
