Thank goodness my mother has never been a very “touchy-feely” person because this kind of smothering on her part would have driven me bat-crap crazy years ago! It’s no wonder Cathy acts so silly and immature sometimes. I’d probably be that way, too, if I had an overly-protective “helicopter mom” that refused to cut the “apron stings” so that I could grow up and learn how to take care of myself without needing so much “help” from her all the time.
