Nope…don’t want help…and I will tell you why! No one volunteers to help. If I ask for help, I get whining and a poor attempt from my reluctant worker. So, I end up doing their half hearted effort, over again.

Okay, no argument there. I’m surprised she didn’t use his whole name.

Oh I can relate to this. First of all, sitting around “organizing data” is NOT the same as actually cleaning stuff in the house. If you play a part in making a mess in the house, you need to play a part in cleaning it up. It should be teamwork. This is a major frustration of mine. If people would just keep their own stuff clean in my house, I would be able to make progress with doing other things. Very frustrating. One person is not the maid. And even if you have a housekeeper who is there constantly (my sister does), everyone still needs to do their part.

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Wow, this week is flying by. Jr drove herself to school today, so that was big. On her way to be an independent person! Have a great day, all!

Hello, Irving. The 1950’s called. They want you and your whole old-fashioned, out-of-date “housecleaning is women’s work” way of thinking back there with them again! :-/

FYI: You live there too. You contribute just as much to the mess around there as Cathy does so get off your lazy rear-end and help her. The faster the house is cleaned and organized, the faster you can get back to doing what you’re working on. As the old saying goes: “A happy wife is a happy life” so make yours a lot happier by doing your part and not forcing her have to tell you yet again that she needs your help in order to get everything done around there so just get up and DO it already!

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

lightenup: Hey, Sis! Congrats to Jr.’s driving to school today for the first time on her own. That sweet little girl of yours is really growing up fast! ♥

Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone stays warm and has a really nice day today! :-)

I’m with Cathy on this one. And like vaughnrl2003 said, surprised is full name was not said. I help make the mess, I try to help clean it up – if not at work at the time my wife wants to clean. My office, though, is fully my responsibility. She is not allowed to touch anything in it because every time she has in the past I cannot find things.

Good thinking lightenup with the app. Sure wish that was available when my two girls started borrowing the car. I still worry when they are coming home as one has a 6 hour drive and the other an 8 hour drive. Fortunately they both check in when they get to North Bay so I know I can expect them within 2 hours – well except for the one time my younger daughter and son-in-law got stopped in Temagami as the road was closed north of that due to an accident. It was 5 hours later they finally arrived – at 4:00am. No way I even thought of going to bed before they got here.

I can often blame lindz.coop for sending me the bad weather. When we get nice sunny but cold days at this time of the year it is usually from the Arctic. For the cloudy snowy days the weather system usually gets to us from Michigan.

    Have a sunny day!

Yeah—I kinda see Cathy’s point here, since (as others have said) cleaning should be a team effort among everyone living in a given place. She coulda been a little more forgiving/understanding, perhaps, but is probably eager to finish the job.

    HI, MOM. Hello, “Cathy” Clan.

My poor hubby is finding out just how much I do around the house…he always helps, but now he is having to help a whole lot more since I can’t walk. Sadly, today was his birthday too, but at least I got my surgery changed as it was originally scheduled for the day before his birthday, and he would have been picking me up from the hospital on his birthday. We are going out to dinner to celebrate as much as we can tomorrow night, hopefully, my foot will behave.
