A hundred and seventy-nine dollars. For ONE pair of shoes. And Cathy thinks that’s “cheap”?! Good heavens! Is she out of her ever-lovin’ mind, or what?!? I wouldn’t pay that much for a single pair of shoes if I won the multi-million dollar Powerball lottery! What is WRONG with her, anyhow?!? It’s no wonder she’s always crying to her accountant every year at tax time about how she doesn’t have any money. I wouldn’t either if all I did was pissed mine away on completely stupid, useless crap I didn’t need — such as on yet another pair of ankle-busting stiletto heels to go along with the other fifty pairs I already have in my closet that are just like them, for example.
Well, far be it from me to criticize Cathy on how she spends her hard-earned money. But when she twists (or breaks) an ankle wearing those things, she’s going to not only curse the day she laid eyes on them, but also the saleslady for talking her into buying them, herself for being talked into buying them, and the additional money she’ll now have to spend for that “unexpected” trip (no pun intended) to the ER in order to fix the damage she unnecessarily caused to herself. :-/
