    Pre-great recession logic. You may have a lot of digital stuff, but you can lose it just the same as you can lose a house in a fire. Back up often

    And someday the grandkids will find the boxes of old photos and wonder what they are pictures of and which are important. If you save old photos, be kind to your descendants and label them! (In case you’re wondering, years ago, my sister and I found 12 boxes of old photos in our parents’ garage!)

    For me, photos seem much more meaningful somehow when they’ve been printed … by stores, on photo paper, etc. However, digital pics are SO much more convenient to sort, deal with, etc. I try to keep up with all the technology, and appreciate it when it works.

    I like both…it’s nice to have the convenience of being able to pull up a pic on the phone to show somebody, but it’s also nice to have the pix in books to look at. Seems I can never find the time to do it tho.
