It has always cost airlines money to move luggage, but that cost was included in the price of the ticket. So, unless they lowered the price of the ticket, we’re now paying for the luggage twice – once in the price of the ticket and once in a luggage fee. The same applies to food served on the plane, headphones to watch the movie/TV shows and a number of other things. Does that mean that we’re paying twice as much for air travel as we should?
I’m with Irving on this one ….. only I’d take TWO pairs of shoes with me on a vacation like this: flip-flops for day and something nicer to wear for dinners out at a nice restaurant somewhere in the evenings. That’s it. For a heavenly-sounding trip (like the one I described in my comment yesterday), what more could you possibly want or need?! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! :-)
hendelca: Thank you for the greeting yesterday. I miss those daily hellos whenever “viper-dude” is out of town on vacation! ;-)

Hello and Happy Wednesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone has / had a really nice day today! :-)
I will admit I take 3 pairs – sandals for going to the beach/pool, runners for all day walking, and dressier shoes for evening dining. My feet do appreciate the change between the runners and dress shoes after walking all day.

I hate being nickel and dimed. Charge a fair price for a ticket, give me a decent seat and treat me like a person…not a cow herded to slaughter.

I like the way Irving thinks.

dlkrueger33 Totally agree. And I too need more than one pair of shoes…especially now that I’m contemplating surgery on both of my feet.
