She means well, but Cathy is her daughter, so can’t she just help herself? While it’s a nice thing to offer people a drink, I would never think it’s okay to make people go overboard on my behalf. That said, I don’t drink coffee, just tea, but my mom would know that and never offer coffee.

I liked it better when the choices were black or with cream and/or sugar. Now it is like having to learn a whole new language just to understand what someone is ordering. Glad I don’t drink coffee.
Well, the water level in the lake recovered what it lost yesterday and then some. Level rose about 3 inches overnight and is expected to continue to rise at about that rate until Friday. Thankfully even that will not put us in any danger although the lawn close to the shore will be rather wet. For my neighbour, that sandbag wall we built on Saturday will become necessary. All the homes on this street are safe as they are well above the 100 year flood line. It is the boathouses or structures like my gazebo bar that may get a little wet. The ice has melted enough now that there is little danger of damage if it is blown ashore. It will simply break up when it hits anything. We are fortunate as there are many areas a lot worse off.
I am enjoying today. I hope everyone else is as well.

My step-mother was like that. No matter how hard I tried, she would find a way to bring me down. After a while I just gave up trying to please her.
