Stone Soup by Jan Eliot
Gramma Evie: BRRRR! It's too cold to go out...
Holly: ?!?
Biscuit: !!! !!!
Val: ?!
Gramma Evie: There's no bad weather. Just inappropriate clothing.
Biscuit: Is this going to be a LONG walk??
My greyhound is too prissy for snow and rain. We’ll open the door for her to go out and she looks at us, looks outside, then walks away. And wakes us up at 2 am to let her out >_<
In answer to the dog “it’ll last as long as it takes to get you to stop yapping in the house!” I think Evie could take one or the other noise makers, but not both at the same time.
I’d say that what Evie is wearing now is not appropriate for winter. I spent most of the first decade of this century in Wisconsin, and needed a parka with faux-fur trim. Of course, real Wisconsononians would sometimes go out in outrageously skimpy outfits. I’d have to make some of the grandkids, who had to spend recess outdoors, wear coats, even. A couple of times the school offered to provide a coat for my grandson if we couldn’t afford one. (We could.)

I love bundling up for a walk on a cold day. It makes the hot chocolate that much better when I get back!

Our dog seems to think along the same lines as this one…

It’s nice a quiet outside in the winter.
