Thanks to all for your kindeness and your well wishes. I am some better today. We had planned on having the grands over for a cookout yesterday but cancelled because we were almost all down. Weather here in NC was around 70F.>>Andy does appear to be paying for the drinks. Even old moochers pay on occasion. It keeps up apperances and usually garners points with the right purchase. Hence, the “perfessor”. Probably get six back.

I like the way Smythe has his characters walking in the air above their shadows. I believe this is unique to him.

Never did care much for Pogo. Have not seen, nor read it, for eons. I just bypass it while reading Andy Capp!!!

Note how he’s individually drawn panels 1-4, rather than photocopy or paste!^^At that time, cartoonists used tracing paper and tape to do the same thing as a cartoonist now does with a computer

It’s pretty amazing how you ‘churn’ this stuff out daily, in just a short time, and some are quite outstanding. That’s true… All the animations are great. I like the ‘Hello Kitty’ one and the bees.

Yes, I should send that email. I think he can still read gocomics, but my understanding is, he was banned by the powers that be. Kind of seemed biased to me, I mean, look at some of the other people who still post here and are still here!

what’s the inside Joke with so many Characters having the same middle initial? Rocket J. Squirrel; Stimpson J. Katt, etc.^^You forgot Homer J Simpson…. As a guess, I’d say it’s a flow thing, it just sounds cool as a middle innitial

sorry to be so late, but I was learning to snowboard…it was so much fun to face plant myself so many times…lol…I didnt break anything and eventually even stayed on the board for a full 100 yards! I am in the hot tub in my hotel suite right now, hoping I dont drop the lap top in the tub with me, so I wont continue on blabbing, but had to congratulate and thank Number 6 on the Mad Capps today (big smile), and to welcome the symbol known as Eldo back, and advise patience, and ask for a favor …I thought I saved your artwork of Flo(rrie) being kissed by or kissing Andy….its the avatar I wanted to use and I cant find it in my pictures (and yes, it made me organize them and delete superfluous or disinteresting to me now pics)…I really want to use that one too…John Pike, I am so glad you are feeling better! Number 3 aka Starlet aka Half Pint, and fully known as a sweet person that we all adore, I agree with Gweedo, H’lo Kitty, you are adorable in whatever guise you assume!
