But now Earl all the syrup will run offthe waffles.

Here’s an idea, Opal: just hand wash some of that silverware.

Necessity is the mother of invention, particularly, when your hungry.

Where there’s waffles, I’m gonna eat them any way! Mmmmm, waffles…

Ditto — wash a few, dearie! I do it all the time… Or you could just food-trough it.

Shoot, roll those waffles up and chomp!

Now I want waffles! And I even have clean silverware! (can’t be bothered to make them though – and no I don’t do frozen waffles ;) )

What? No kitchen sink with a faucet?

It’s called handwashing. Pull a couple of forks out and scrub them!

Now, I’m hungry for waffles!

You’d think a woman who could be bothered to make homemade waffles with a waffle iron could wash some silverware or Earl could do it himself (a novel thought!) I will not eat frozen waffles either. Once you’ve made them from scratch you never want those sorry frozen ones again.

Linguist – your hungry what? Finish that sentence :P

OMG, if you’ve forgotten how to hand wash then just slap a coupla slices of bread around the waffels and call it a waffle sandwich

It only takes a moment to wash a couple forks by hand, you know.

This one was reeeeally dumb.

I agree with most of the comments. Panal 2 should have read “I guess I’ll just have to wash a couple so we can have our waffles.” Then, when she looked at Earl, it would have made more sense. My kids, who have never had to handwash a dish in their lives (my son does now), know that if there is no clean silverware, wash them by hand.

Yeah, I should have but I was grouchy and trying to make a point to those people out there, who lack any humor or originality, and can only criticize other’s spelling or grammar, instead of participating in the interchange of commentary on ideas.

Most people would just take some out and hand wash them…

Reminds me of the comedian who observed that a bachelor won’t wash anything until it’s all in the sink: “I came to this conclusion this morning while I was eating Froot Loops out of a Bundt pan — with measuring spoons — chasing that last froot loop around the milk moat.”

Why wash em? It’s just the two of them, pick out 2 of the cleaner looking ones, and have at it.

She couldn’t just take a knife and fork out of the dishwasher and wash them manually? Is this cartoon implying people with dishwashers are really that useless??
