Ah, the memories from childhood….Michael did marry Deanna and Gordon and all those other school chums …laughing like donkeys…were indeed his friends throughout adult life. These types of embarrassing situations, horrible as they seem at the time, will increase their bonds as they age. They will all be laughing together in their 80’s at some senior’s centre in Smalltown, Canada.

I think this is the sort of thing kids need to work out among themselves without adult intervention. A lot of ‘trauma’ is actually manufactured by ‘experts’.

It happens all the time. As a teacher, I can’t tell you how many times I get emails/calls because a child didn’t do their homework or got in trouble at school and they want me to forgo the consequence because they might feel bad about it.

However, it is still true that girls tend to be more mature than boys, regardless of the change in parents’ thinking.

Jerks would be more like it!

I knew kids in high school who acted like these kids-all immature school children. I recall the question a lot of them asked: “Who do you like?” That was a question that was never to be answered.

Michael certainly isn’t in this boat all alone when it comes to being teased by his silly, immature friends for liking a girl when they’re this young. “Mean girls” can be just as merciless in their behavior when it becomes known that a fellow (female) classmate is crushing on a boy at this age too!!!!! :-(

I do not think the boy in the blue sweater is Gordon; that boy is bucktoothed. Anyway, Gordon gets his run-in with Cupid in junior high when he falls hard for a girl named Allyson.

Thirty years ago.Today, someone could catch that moment with their cell phone camera, and play it back to THEIR girlfriends later!!

Ignoring the children of course! The most irritating words a child could hear, “If I didn’t see it, it didn’t happen”
