That is a bad analogy. Seeing how it’s Israel who’s forcing Palestinian families out of their homes so to make room for more Israeli settlements.Ask yourself how Americans would react if Canada started demolishing American towns along the boarder to make way for new Canadian settlements.Both sides are guilty of killing innocent civilians. Both sides continue the cycle of abuse. That is why there’s no real peace talks.

Those people must get religion out of government, separate church and state, just as we do in the USA. They must integrate all three religions and live togetherThey must forget “Holy Land” or there will never be peace.

Neither side is willing to see reality. First off, when Israel was formed, another homeland was formed for the Palestinians. We call it Jordan. The idea that these people are “refugees” is a bit of a stretch.

Israel has to realize that, if we follow population trends, soon Israel will no longer be a Jewish-majority state. Minority rule is often ugly, and those regimes cannot last for too awfully long. The only alternative is to give the Palestinians a piece of land to call their own, if Israel wants to be truly a Jewish homeland.

Now, if it were me, I’d move out. I’d make sure that all the improvements (desert reclamation via irrigation, farms, power plants, infrastructure) were destroyed. You want the only piece of sand in the whole middle east that has no oil? Miss the good old days? Well, here you go; enjoy. Suddenly, the masses will start to understand that neither Israel nor America is responsible for their suffering, and the blame will go where it belongs: to their own leaders. Then we might truly have an Arab Spring.

Larry makes a valid point, much misrepresented today. It IS a “biblical thing”, and related to waring Semites, Jew (Hebrew/Israelite, whatever) and ARAB. It is in fact NOT so much Jew vs Muslim. The “battle” predates Mohammed by several millennia, and is basically a matter of those Jew/Hebrew/Israelites entering the land after eviction (by choice or not) and seeking “an eye for an eye”, and more acreage for their own use.

Omnius, false analogies of Israel to Nazi Germany are idiotic and grossly inaccurate. There are no concentration camps in Israel and Arabs who are Israeli citizens have all the right and privileges of Jewish Israelis. Israel is a multiparty democracy (in fact, there are TOO many political parties, but that’s another issue) and, unlike Nazi Germany, is and has been surrounded by larger states that have sworn to destroy it. The fragile peace that exists between Israel and Egypt and Jordan is counteracted by despotic regimes in Gaza and southern Lebanon (the latter, thanks to Iran-backed Hezbollah) that have NEVER accepted peace with Israel. The issue of land appropriation is, however, a real stumbling block to peace — but this happened AFTER Arab manifestos to destroy Israel.
