GOP believes all people should have the chance to work and better themselves.Just as long as those people are willing to work for slave-like wages in China.

The GOP has to give up the fealty to lies. Sure they say they’re for everyone, but why is the ONLY sticking point the tax rate on the top 1%? Why is it that women HAVE to be denied equal pay? That women HAVE to be denied equal health coverage? Fix those problems before you go whining about how Obama has such a huge advantage being black. He didn’t win because of the color of his skin. It’s the content of his character.

As one looks at our Constitution and our cultures(plural), we have three major religions who worship the God of Abraham. Yet, despite this common bond so many of us share, Christians, Jews, and Muslims have shed incredible amounts of blood and caused immeasurable grief IN THE NAME of God. Not only have these branches done harm to each other, they have done even more damage within their sect. Christians have killed each other in the name of God since the death of Jesus. Ongoing Muslim violence has seen over a half million killed because “those Muslims” don’t worship correctly. The mammoth in the picture represents this ungodly hate for any thing not “Christian”. GOP stalwarts have been on video for years making religion part of policy. Yet the oath of office they take tells them to protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. Our founding fathers had good reason to put a gulf between government and religion. People are willing to do incredibly evil things in the name of a loving, merciful, and compassionate God.I want my leaders to pray for wisdom, but I want them to lead in a more secular fashion. I want Christians, Jews, and Muslims to pray for our nation, and to show why their way of life is “good” and “worthy to emulate” through loving, merciful, and compassionate ways.Pray for us, don’t PREY on us.And Atheism is NOT evil. It simply represents a paradigm with no connection to a belief system that too many see as hypocritical, disingenuous, and sometimes evil. We are all Americans. If ‘YOU" force your belief system on others, you set your nation up for further conflict. You also make yourself a target to those you marginalize.Pray for America, don’t Prey on Americans.Respectfully,C.

But the GOP is comprised of authoritarians. They have to be authoritarian over someone. Women, being smaller have always had the short end of the stick except for some societies, like the Navajo. Not sure what the white men have against Hispanics, but they feel threatened by them for some reason. the excuse is they take jobs. But how many people are willing to work doing some of the worst jobs? Not to say that is what Hispanics like. It’s just often the only type jobs they are able to get, because of prejudice.

It’s good to see the American spirit is alive and well. It’s sad to see the mean spirited attitude taken by both sides of this election. This reminds me of having to separate both sides of a playground dispute and remind the children that:1. Name calling doesn’t do anything but antagonize people.2. Generalizing behavior of a minority group to the whole is dishonest and unfair.3. Constantly rubbing peoples nose in the loss of a contest only makes an enemy of greater conviction and determination.

Initially I thought some of the comments were entertaining, but they have hit a level of being downright mean-spirited and vicious, as well as usually extremely exaggerated and inaccurate. It’s not just one side or the other, people from both political parties are equally adolescent in this behavior. I know a lot of people. Many democrats I know are fundamentalist Christians, and I know Republicans that are atheists and agnostics. Most republicans I have talked to are middle aged, middle class people working regular jobs and raising families. This typecasting going on now is a bad hangover from the politispeak of the campaign. We need to move on. A closing suggestion. Instead of the comment, “you lost now get over it,” even “the elections over, let’s move on” is an improvement. Whether you are polite and ask people to be gracious or rub someones face in it, the result is the same. This is probably just spitting in the wind, but I figured I would give it a try. Last weekend I afraid I would have to break up a fight over this at a neighborhood party. Fortunately I talked them down but there are still two people who will probably never be friends again because of this rhetoric. Today I’m going back to deal with the real adolescents, they can usually be talked back into a kinder, gentler space…

Limbaugh today reviewed the history of Reagan signing Amnesty for 3 million Hispanics in the USA illegally….in 1986.That was the GOP olive branch to Hispanics.in 1988 the Hispanics rewarded the GOP with fewer votes for prez….down to 30% from 1984 37% Hispanic vote for the GOP.-when the GOP enacts laws and programs that benefit minorities, the minorities never give the GOP credit….it is “heresy” to the Democratic party they “worship” and they accept THE BIG LIE that Republicans are the “enemy”!

@disgusted taxpayeri thought it was the preists that gag the christian speech of alter boys with oral sex, and the bishops that cover up the pedophilia – de-facto legalizing sodomy within the church. maybe you should look at your own organization before you blame your fellow, tax-paying, hard working american neighbors for what your own people are doing. only your neighbors are doing it consensually.

one need only look within the catholic church to find ‘true evil’.
