You have a very favorable interpretation of a fluff media event. In America we call it a “dog and pony show.” Obama is an expert at that. His own party doesn’t vote for his budgets. He is down in history for being the only president to pass as big a package as Obama care without a single supporting vote from the other party. Ansonia, I think that anybody that reaches across the aisle will be ridiculed, by Rush or Roger Ailes. I did listen to the Rush soundbite. Nothing seems to upset a conservative more than one of their own departing from the party line. it is a level of intellect they are unable to comprehend. They see it as a traitorous act and the disobedient one must pay with ridicule and scorn. Talk radio makes them the object of derision. Recent examples being Governor Christie, Mayor Bloomberg, and Colonel Powell. Notice how it is the intelligent ones that double cross them.
