Quick comment, Ann Romney is not a stepford wife. She does not deserve random attacks just because someone dislikes her husband. Main comment.While there is less diversity among crowds to whom Romney speaks, there are many people of color unhappy with Obama’s stand on abortion and gay marriage. If they vote at all, they are likely to vote their religious convictions rather than on the totality of issues. It seems we should consider voting on 9 issues rather than just a couple. There will always be issues on which folks will deadlock, but there are others on which we could agree if we just took the time, sincerity, and bipartisanship needed. Even if legislators only pass one law a day, with no amendments or riders or earmarks, they would be doing the people’s work for which we elected them.Racism still exists, but our society is developing a caste system of which parts of India might be proud. People in positions of influence have no time, and little interest in people who are not in their ‘network’. They will help us out by keeping the hot button issues going so we can hammer at each other instead of working together in an effort to keep the “untouchables” away.We deserve better. But, to address the statement of one who said we don’t, we have to earn better by being better ourselves.Respectfully,C.
