Obviously this would conform to Willtt’s plan to send disaster relief back to the private sector or the states.

Incredible! One NORAD image of the width and breadth of this low pressure system is beyond eerily similar to some of the “Super Storm” artist’s rendition of such—-

There really ain’t no denying it…yet we still hear the Faux Noise parrots squawk away-

“Squawk! It’s all about money!” “Squawk! Al Gore is a thief!’“Squawk! Your science is worthless!”“Squawk! My GUT tells me all I need to know!” Squawk!

I’m sorry about the previous post. I meant to say the House Science Committee deterrmined that the storm Sandy will shut itself down. It will abort before striking the mainland.

Hurricane Sandy’s statement concerning the absence of any mention of Global Warming in the debates.

In fairness however i must tell you that , I was recently reminded that one may have a very high IQ, an excellent education and even similar political leaning to oneself and still be a pompous prig.

It is a documented fact that when disasters hit, humans rally together to overcome difficulties. Sociologists and and scientists have difficulty explaining why this is so, but one answer might be found in tribal culture. When facing threats to the tribe—war, crop failures, etc.—the tribe bands together for the good of the group as a whole. To not do so mean extinction, and the desire for self-preservation is ingrained in the human psyche.

CC could simply tape NY, SI, NJ and DC washing out to sea and loop it with a laugh track- or would that be editorializing?

The storm is clearly God’s vengeance on those that would discriminate against women, gays, and minorities. What do you mean that doesn’t make any sense?

I saw this cartoon and saw a man opening his doors to help a neighbor get out of dangerous weather. It made me feel good. This interpretation is an example of my constant rant. We are neighbors first, partisan voters second. Partisan voters tenth would be better. If the man at the door was a Romney supporter, would he be less likely to reach out a hand to a person wearing an Obama button? I’d like to think that even the worst poster in these forums would reach out to help a neighbor in a time of urgent need.I know I would, and have.Respectfully,C.Peace Troll and Neighbor

the N.J. storm surge is two feet higher than in any previous storm, change is here now. As to all those folks rushing out to help in disasters? Yes, some indeed do, but every new disaster in the current times, sees an even greater increase in the looting.

By what stroke of the imagination did you manage to interpret that as being directed at you personally?

Absolutely Dycel. In a small town in Miss., the general store and bar were in the same building and the post office was part of the general store. You just walked through an interior doorway. It was gone by 1972 tho.Good comment.Respectfully,C.

friend has no electricity no cellphone & 8 ft. of water in his apartment lobby. He’s 5’2". 97 year old mother has no electricity, no radio, one cellphone while the charge lasts. people help eachother in these times, and forget profit motive and see the preciousness of each soul rather than the protection of possessions as primary. media focus, media hype, media election polls are just chutes for the brainwashed creatures to be manipulated into. creep up softly on the sheep, stampede the cattle, lure the pigs with tempting food…..no choice between 2 deadheat candidates since both are owned by corporations, only the racial great white hope schtick. libertarian & green party candidates make more sense than either, but they are exiled. shortest sentence in the bible applies too the floods & the ads for lap band surgery, home exercise machines and powder diets shown before you glimpse the crane about to fall on 57th street from the building where the rent per month is in millions…………what is wrong with this picture? morally wrong, sorrowfully wrong….and what is (in the much overused word) “heroic” about the helpers, and what is divine normalcy in the sight of one human being reaching out to another, and sharing shelter, light & courage?
