GRITSwhen Shika can get back on GoComics? Anyway, it feels like we are running out of week here (I get my first paycheck soon) so Akenta, if you please?
cleo no he’s not like the muffin man, trust me! :-D
My oven is an old Thermador, which they no longer make. I hope it holds out through Thanksgiving! And I can’t just go out and get a new wall oven because the cut-out is built for my size oven like they made in the ’50’s and 60’s. Now wall ovens are about 4 inches wider, which means tearing out part of the wall to expand the area. The guy says it should last for now, but it will go out again. :-(
Gee, I guess renting isn’t so bad after all. My old oven gave out last year, and I got a brand new one very quickly. No charge. I own my refrigerator though (a gift from my parents when I moved out.) It is over 26 years old and still running well. The only thing is that I have to defrost the freezer twice a year.
Of course, I don’t have a fancy Thermidor. My microwave is so old that it has a dial on it. It isn’t digital. But it still works!
cleo, Thermador was a GREAT product, from what I understand. Heck, it must be! Mine was installed when my house was built by the original owners, and look how long it lasted! I hate to part with it! I love the porcelain lining and how easy it is to clean! How old is yours, cleo? Do you have any idea how to order replacement parts, which according to our repairman is “iffy” He found parts on eBay but didn’t want to be responsible for the guarantee, since he doesn’t trust eBay or the internet.
Shika I have 2 freezers, one small, one large, both uprights, and really old which my parents gave me when they got a new one. The small one I only use now when I defrost the big one to store stuff in while defrosting the big one. Both are done by hand. And YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT A LITTLE BITTY TINY REFRIGERATOR FREEZER???!!!
I need a NEW KITCHEN FLOOR! Pieces are chipping off! I need a new paint job there too!CAN WE TAKE UP A COLLECTION FOR DRY’S NEW KITCHEN FLOOR? HUH? CAN WE? HUH? HUH? HUH?

Man, I never want to go through that again. I HATE computers when something goes wrong.
Guess I’ll tour around and see you folks tonight. It’s my night to call my mom. I don’t know when I’ll get back.
