The car looks like its going on vacation with the beachball in the back seat. Only one of those kids is going on vacation, the other is going to have the weight of a planet on his shoulders with the USA directly resting against his back.If the Republicans nationwide had run only on the economy, they may have swept all three branches of government, assuming Romney gets to nominate a justice to SCOTUS.Obama may have not done the job on the economy women want, but Romney clearly said during the Republican Primary debates that he would be “Happy” to sign legislation banning abortion in all instances. That is scarey to alot of women. Other ‘goals’ of some Republicans regarding education, healthcare, and weakening regulation promoting banking responsibility and/or industrial safety for workers/environment is also concerning.Taking away freedom from any group, even distasteful freedoms, is one step away from taking away other freedoms. Whether it is the display of Christian themes at events or holidays, preventing ownership of non military guns, or legalizing marijuana, taking away freedoms disliked by the majority will create resentments among a diverse minority. At some point, those groups of resentful opinions outnumber the restrictive majority and conflicts will divide neighbor from neighbor. I’m not a big fan of corporal punishment, however, both parties need a time out, and some legislators need a spankin’. Pull over Mom. Pull it on over.Respectfully,C.

The whole “TEA party” thing, 200 years ago, and supposedly now, is all about NOT being forced by government to do something, like pay taxes, or bear a child. Roe V. Wade gave women a CHOICE, and FREEDOM, over their bodies, not a mandate of what they had to do, to satisfy their “menfolk” in the legislative body, or church mandates.

Women are also the numerical majority in our population, and voting pool, it may be time for those “menfolk” in politics to wake up an see who’s driving.

Can it make ANY sense for WOMEN to vote for Romney and Ryan?THis may lead to many more babies with NO HELP getting enough to eat or medical care. I would challenge a woman who would let thousands of unwanted children be born into poverty to give me a convincing proof that that would not happen or that that would be good. Most woman, seeing a hungry child in just a tee shirt and pants standing outside. Most women would want to find that child’s mother and find out why. I know how much I love my kids, but any kid that is going hungry, or without warm clothes in the winter would touch my heart. So do the women for Romney not care about all these additional kids. and women who don’t want kids, want a career, if they got sidetracked by pregnancy ever few years, I don’t think they would like that to happen.

You sir are a liar, much like the president’s party on this matter. What the republican party platform states is that the federal government should get out of the issue entirely. That the states and congress should make any decisions on abortion not the courts. Roe v Wade is horrible jursiprudence and this issue should never have been decided in the courts. It should have been debated in each state and left to each state to decide it is not a federal matter. Stop lying.

Ryan and Romney have both said all things on all sides of the abortion issue. While Romney has SAID he would not introduce legislation to overturn Roe v Wade, he has not answered whether he would VETO such a bill if it came to his desk. He was also going to be “more gay-friendly” (paraphrase) than Ted Kennedy, and can work in a bi-partisan manner. (800 vetoes, 700 plus overturned). Really bi-partisan!

Your school taught you that Congress cannot introduce legislation that conflicts with a supreme court ruling?-And you’re telling someone else to go back to school?

This ‘toon just got played out on Saturday Night Live, in a way. It didn’t make me laugh (I have a very weird sense of humor), but I grinned throughout the whole thing.
