    My parents always hid the Halloween candy so that we girls wouldn’t get into it, especially if there were bubblegum involved.

    I have a diabetic in the house. The leftover candy goes to work the next day.

    I don’t give out candy. I buy non-food treats (like stickers and fake tattoos) to give out instead.

    I gave leftover chocolate bars to nearby senior centers most years. This year I am giving hard candy to the random kids but making cupcakes for the kids who regularly visit me and their families.
