Where’s the uplifting affirmation, targeted to my particular religious affiliation? Huh?

If you view the zombies as a metaphor for children, according to the end of the movie, they’re good for entertainment and cheap labor, and the best way to raise them is to keep them locked in a shed with a video game console.

Going to RottenTomatoes, I was unable to find the review in question-tho I got a ton of 404 errors, which means it might exist anyway.

Finally, an admission that the liberals are just as eager to be judgmental as they accuse the conservatives of being. Finally something both sides can agree on: judgment and hypocrisy.

HAL was, however, very polite. After unsuccessfully trying to kill an astronaut via explosive decompression, HAL delivers one of the great sci-fi movie lines. “I can see you’re upset about this, Dave.”

HAL was just misunderstood… like my kids, who I sometimes feel were raised by zombies…

I like Shaun of the Dead. And the message is “you always feed the one you love.”

It wasn’t HAL’s fault. The politicians told him to lie and not tell the astronauts the details of the mission. Logically, he HAD to kill them before they started asking too many questions…

I love Shaun of the Dead. I totally agree with Rob. If you like British humor, this is a must see.

    1. Coincidentally, today’s The Lost Bear already got me thinking about Shaun of the Dead this morning.2. Anyone confused by 2001 needs to read the novel. Explains much. I loved the movie, but I couldn’t make heads or tails of it.

One of my all-time favorite horror movies got 13% on the Tomatometer and 60% from the public. Another horror movie I really like got 32% Tomatometer and 52% from the public. And there’s a horror movie that I hate that got a 96% Tomatometer. I have very different tastes as the critics!

I’m almost ashamed to admit it in public, but I just bought the Blu Ray set of the first four “Resident Evil” movies (from Amazon). What can I say? I enjoy them.
