Repeat after me: “big, baggy, cheap sweat suit”.

ej - you forgot in a big baggy cheap store.

This woman is a mall rat. Nothings cheap, or baggy.

Repeat after me. Get yourself a Wii. Get EA Active. Draw the blinds. Work out in the buff.

No humiliating sweat suit, a great work out, and you don’t even have to undress for the showers. (Except to take your sneakers off, of course!)

Plus, working out with your hubby will lead to… a workout of another sort. :)

Ah, but you’re forgetting her inlaws are there Librarian.

What Cathy should do, IMO, is go to a thrift store and get some very loose fitting sweats to workout. Then go home and have gadget-mad Irving buy her a Wii and Wiifit…with Cathy going along to make sure he DOESN’T buy any other Wii games, like golfing ones!

My lady won’t go to the gym with me because she doesn’t want all those “beautiful people” to see she doesn’t have the body of a 19 year old supermodel. The people in my gym are puffing and panting trying to lose that 30 lbs that crept up on them. “No” she says,” everyone on TV in the gym look like movie stars.”

I’m with Funnyfan. Do it at home and you won’t be so self conscious. I wouldn’t go to a gym either. Back where I used to live in Michigan the YMCA had a gym and it faced the street. We could see everyone on their exercise machines and I’d say no way do I want to let the world see me on one of those things!

I know what you mean lewreader. Everyone at my gym is pudgy too, that’s why we’re in the gym! Only rarely to you see one of those fitness fanatics. Its still hard not to be self-conscious though.

She’s not going to any gym that we’ve seen, she’s procrastiating about doing it at home, so why does she need workout clothing? Do it in your underwear.

Baggy shorts and T-shirt. Comfortable, not too hot (I could NEVER work out in a sweatsuit).

The gym I go to no one cares what you look like - at least when I go. I think there is one small time slot when all the people who are there to be seen go, but just avoid that “social hour” and it’s fine.

When I went to the gym, there were a number of people trying to get in shape and some really annoyingly in-shape people.
