That’s not how the Fed works. Bernanke, a Bush appointee, makes his own decisions. The fact that intelligent fiscal policy happens to align with the current administration is not evidence of a conspiracy, but evidence of sound policy.

OK, here’s an assignment for the right-wing-o-bots here ….1. Explain what quantitative easing is.2. Explain how adding cash to the economy is a bad thing.

What amazes me is that Mitt’s supporters, and those buying the “Ryan plan”, haven’t a clue how economies work, capitalist, or otherwise.

The stock market and low inflation stand for themselves as to whether Bernanke’s doing a good job with this. If the GOP would pass a jobs bill (it was UNCONSCIONABLE for them to fillibuster the completely paid-for, Republican vets jobs bill yesterday), quantitative easing wouldn’t be needed. Having blocked the fire truck, they’re accusing Bernanke of bringing buckets of water to put the fire out. “You’re helping our enemy! Let American burn until we’re voted in! Then maybe we can fix it the same way and get all the credit!”
