Nate drawings are back.
Mr. Peirce is doing fan service and I love it!
Algebro: Escapes from prison
Math: ANAKIN, IT’S TIME FOR PANAKIN
Math Man sounds like a superhero on a pbs kids show.
Wow. Just yesterday I said we haven’t had any of Nate’s comics in a while, and here we are. Thank you, Mr. Peirce
Honestly, I’ve never heard anyone say “Egad!” before
Yay, Nate’s comics are back!
Return of Nate’s comics
Remember the 2016 arc where Nate and the gang talk about other names for themselves? I thought I’d do that for them here, starting with Chad: Chex Mix. Feel free to reply any other possibilties!
I think this is Nate’s first comic strip since the covid strip.
To summarize yesterday: Some guy changed their username, children malded over it.
About 14 hours and 31 minutes
This is definitely his math assignment using a “visual aid”.
Good morning, afternoon, evening, and night early readers! Dang it, I left because I was losing ideas on commenting, then Mr. Peirce gives me something to comment on :/
LOL, I love seeing this return to Nate’s comics as a full strip. It was such a classic, early staple of the series, and it was a shame to see it reduced to one panel on Sundays. Although, sometimes we do get a “Nate Wright Original” as a Sunday strip. Those are always good.
Oh well, might as well delete that “goodbye” comment. I wasn’t fishing for attention, honest. Let someone else have the featured comment.
Have a fantastic day!
Ok, for those of you that are new here: This comment section is right now trying to fight off the people whose main purpose in to annoy and argue with people. Please don’t get involved in any of these arguments
and i thought i was the only one staying up at one -o-clock

Nate’s comics have returned! This is quite a pleasant surprise, as we don’t usually see them in the newer strips very often.
Math man looks like Coach John
Finally! Another arc-related comic! Let’s gooooo!
Depends on what route he’s taking! Duh!
First Nate-drawn daily comic in almost two decades!! I wish there were more of these, but that would slow down outside-world character development..
Honestly, this is a great way to answer the question! After all this work he’d better get the answer right!
This is sooooo funny and cool
And guys stop saying emotional stuff about trash
OMG WE HAVNT HAD A NATE DRAWN COMIC IN LIKE FOREV THAT WASNT IN A SUNDAY AHJHHH
I’m out of ideas to comment something so…I’ll be back in 4 days. I’m thinking about posting something nice. Hope I’ll come back for you.
I love how every one of Nate’s superheroes looks super unattractive.
That math teacher better give this a high mark.
if i’m wrong, let me know
yay! nates comics are back!!!
FINALLY A NATE DRAWN COMIC!!! does anybody know when the last nate comic was besides the sundays? i’ve literally forgotten lol
OOH, that problem shook off the cobwebs. I’ll wait for the answer, but back then we had no calculators. I’ll have to go through my calculations again to see if I did it right.
They’re back! It’s been a while!
Well that’s a bit boring. Even the hero is looking tired from it.
14.52273 hours or 14 hours and 31 minutes, 22 seconds
Why do I feel like the featured comment is becoming a announcement page. It also feels like the same people get it over and over
when is pierce gonna bring back that old comic that nate showed his dad to in 1991? (not Cesspool)
BALTIMORE? I live close…
YESSSSSS NATE‘S COMMENTS ARE BACK!
Haven’t seen one of Nate’s comic strips in a while. (ones that Nate has written).
Hey, this might actually work out for Nate.
a calculator won’t help if GEOMOTRA escapes
YES! It has been a long time since I’ve seen Nate’s hand drawn comics with the exception of the sunday comics. I read a thing by Lincoln Peirce once saying that he’d stopped them because people had difficulty reading them. But I never have. I love them! And I’m happy to see them again!
holey incredible parodies, Batman!!
I’ve really enjoyed this week for Big Nate so far :)
Today’s comic reminds me of Kit and Kaboodle.
Wow, its been a long time since pierce did a comic comic.
Is this the first Big Nate strip that Nate has drawn that mentions math?
That is pretty clever. I would have liked math way better.
I would’ve called algebro al gebra
Show the math, people.
He stops every 40 mins for 5 minutes (not “for 5 mins after 40 minutes of driving”) so he drives as follows:
40 mins @ 44mph = 29.348 miles leaving 538.652 miles to go.
He then stops for 5 mins and then drives for 35 mins, stops another 5, drives 35, etc (so at the end of 80 mins, he’s driven 40 mins, stopped 5 and drove another 35 and then he’d be stoppping again.)
35 / 40 = 0.875
0.875 * 44 = 38.5mph for every 40 minute period.
During any given 40 min period (except for the first), he’s driving at an average speed of 38.5mph. He can drive 25.667 miles in each period and he’s got 538.652 left.
538.652 / 25.667 miles/period = 20.99 periods.
21 * 40 = 840 miutes so far (remember, we have to add the first one back in so we’re taking 20 periods at 38.5mph and one at 44. He’s still got some time and miles to go, however.)
(20 * 25.667) + 29.348 = 542.688 miles in the first 840 minutes.
He then stops again for 5 mins so we’re at 845 mins now and have 25.312 miles left to go.
25.312 / 44 mph = 0.575 hours or 34.5 minutes (he does NOT need to stop again since he’s 0.5 mins shy of the 40 min marker.)
845 + 34.5 = 879.5 min or 14.658 hours or 14 h, 41m, 6s.
any1 here have a youtube channel
……aka “Kow Kow Caqulator”……old Steve Miller Band song……..
Ok guys let just call it a day. Too much drama.
Today’s Big Nate Trivia: Who almost becomes Nate’s girlfriend?
It gets weird. I make it 14.742424 hours or 14 hours, 44 minutes, 32 8/11 seconds.
The logic goes like this: Every 40 minutes he drives at 44 miles/hour for 35 minutes. This takes him 25.666666 miles. He does 22 of these taking him 564.666666 miles. This takes 14.666666 hours. He then drives the final 3.333333 miles at 44 miles/hour without a break. It takes 4.545454 minutes to do that last bit, so he isn’t ready for a break yet. This comes to the specified time.
Once all this is done, the Physics Police arrest him for violating inertia with his instant stops and starts.
Long time since the last comic drew by Nate appeared in a weekly comic
I feel like this strip works for 2020 too: https://www.gocomics.com/bignate/1998/01/03
Me: Ah, a Nate comic! Doesn’t think about it being 2 years since a daily one Can’t wait to see what people think of this comic!
Everyone Else: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH OMG A NATE COMIC OMG OMG ITS BEEN SO LONG AHHHHHHHHHHHH
I never thought about how great the wacky math problems you get in school would fit as a comic strip. Also, this is the first non-Sunday strip featuring Nate’s comics in a LONG time
It’s not really an issue until he heads to Albuquerque.
First time weve see this in a while
THANK YOU LINCOLN :)
Yay Nate’s comics are back :D
i’ve been commenting on this website for almost 2 years now and a lot has changed, but not in a good way. i really miss when i was around when like comet man and poll wars II was pretty interesting but the thing i miss most is the old people who used to comment, like llama, and a lot more. i definitely wish i could go back in time and see that comment section again. i really will miss it. now things are getting out of hand. @therealfrancispope maybe hes a bit under age, but its only ONE person out of all of the ppl with go comics accounts, so just let it be. there’s just constant fighting, argueing, disrespect and all sorts of things. but imma try to put that in a different situation. i now declare, #getbacktogether2020. i don’t know if a lot of ppl will agree, but i hope to get this comment section back together. #getbacktogether2020
I dont really like these ones
This reminds me of when Calvin was tracer bullet when he took the math test.
