Evidently Peter never had the Aide of the Klingon Ambassador to Earth as a patient. (That’s a STARTREK.com joke.)

Pork rules…and bacon’s not just for breakfast in my house.

On the other hand turkey bacon won’t even make it in the back door of my house

From one of the archived columns on STARTREK.com, a poem I wrote:

    KLINGON HOME COOKING

I loved her targ, her plates of gagh, Her warnog stirred and shaken; But nothing in this life compares To Mother’s Terran bacon.

Those strips of flesh, so greasy fat, When smoked and steeped in brine, Were absolutely just the thing To go with ale or wine.

And oh! the chops, the ribs, the feet, The heads so neatly split; The rinds deep-fried and dipped in spice, The cubes cooked on a spit!

How is it so, on this wet world Where pig is all the rage, That no one cooks it properly? ‘Twould boggle any sage.

So here I sit inside a hut, One eye upon the cam, And try to lose my memories Within a can of SPAM.

    – from Kohf son of Klee, with love

    ——————–

P.S: For me it’s turkey or beef bacon, and that very rarely.

Our adult kids still swear they have fork marks on the back of their hands from when they reached for Mom’s bacon when they were growing up – I LOVE my crispy bacon (and still do) !!

Reminds me of the joke about the pig with a wooden leg.

It’s a VERY long joke (if told correctly), but the punchline is “Well, a pig like this, you don’t eat all at once!”
