Gene looks frustrated as he sits at the table and looks at his book. Gene tells Arlo, "Our teacher wants a report on what this poem is really saying." Gene explains, "I think it's just saying what it's saying!" Arlo replies, "For heaven's sake, don't write that!"
The kid has a point! Writers who can’t even say what they mean sure as heck shouldn’t be role models! :-P
