Is it me, or has this strip become too “commercial”?

Commercial as in the pop up advertising (that’s practically blinding) or the strip references? Or both??

I must be behind on my pop culture. “Fitbit” — I’ve seen the word, but I have no idea what it is, and I’m too busy to look it up. As soon as I finish here, I’m off for a bike ride.

    Thanks to Wikipedia:
Fitbit is/are “wireless-enabled wearable devices that measure data such as the number of steps walked, quality of sleep, and other personal metrics.”
As with you, I had zero idea as to what it might be!

Just you, you can’t get too commercial
    .
real point, though, is that you aren’t being commercial just because you mention a product sold commercially.
sometimes it just means you are with it, hip, groovy

Just saw the skater Dorothy Hamill selling some bicycle exercise thing on late night TV..One thing that will make you feel older is seeing someone about your age in a commercial and saying
“My God she’s looking pretty good. What happened to me?”
