@TJDestry – This isn’t an anti-science issue. This speaks to the arrogance of the CDC that assured us that they were smarter then everybody else and could manage any cases of Ebola that reached the US. Then the disease got here and got loose because some hospitals (I dare say a minority) were unprepared to handle the protocols. Now they are scrambling to cover their behinds.
A quarantine of all travelers entering from countries that are infected would have been a good start. Aggressively rolling out control protocols would have been the next step.
But again – The Federal government knows better then all of those anti-sciencers who said “Close the border”. Now that Dumb@#@$ that heads the CDC is backpeddaling and trying to act like he had nothing to do with the elevated risk now in Dallas.
As to the snopes article above – It’s funny. Let’s hope we can still laugh about it in 6 months.
