I wish I were wealthy enough to start up a store: Politicians r us…… oh! wait, there must be one already.

Those who are the hardest working and most intelligent make the most money and are clearly the most competent to run our country, so every patriotic American whole-heartedly supports the Supreme Court decisions that limit serious politics to the job creators.

Ideally, we need a new and improved poll tax, where one must show proof that one has at least $1 billion to be allowed to vote. (Fortunately, the Supreme Court has already ruled that’s the law of the land, which is all for the best. Most of us have no idea how to run the country, so it’s good that, by law, we all are free to leave such complicated tasks to our betters.)

As usual, you hit the head right on the nail. There is a fine tradition of wealthy men in virtual rule of our nation, from Cornelius Vanderbilt thru Donald Trump: All generous men of benign temperament and consistent benevolence and virtue.
So let Neo-Feudalism begin. But to put a positive spin on things, we should henceforth be known as “serfer” dudes.

Wow! On a roll this morning everyone! Neo-feudalism is the perfect characterization. Unfortunately, because you can’t sell History for a lot of money, or put 5" platform heels on it, or play it with your thumbs, no one will be interested. Bread and circuses it is!

It’s good that the Supreme Court sent all of us poor slobs under the cornfield. It’s Good!

Adrian Snare: Haven’t you heard? Bribery is free speech. And the National Petroleum Radio is conservative; look at what they won’t cover.

Great idea, but how to you narrow candidates when money removed as an obstacle? (actual curiosity, not being a smart posterior).

Let’s just dispense with this “voting” hassle and grant the office to whoever raises the most funds. I’m sure Eric Cantor would back me on this!

Fortunately only some of the millionaires and billionaires want to turn us into a full empire. There is a number of millionaires and billionaires who want taxes raised on them.
So there is some hope. Now if we could just do away with this private funding. But then that wouldn’t happen with the present people in the three branches of government.
Our govt, our country has been hijacked by a hidden revolution. They aren’t finished yet.

Based on the fact that immigration reform — once claimed to be Boehner’s biggest priority — just died in the house; I don’t think we need to worry about a Republican president for the foreseeable future.

You’re right. There are many who prefer to silently and insidiously feed. It’s a poorly developed parasite that outright kills its host. Ever see the John Carpenter movie, “They Live”? What a hoot! but an appropriate allegory to our modern situation. I sometimes wonder …

If we do not ALL start voting, at every level, then we have surrendered to the money class.
