Obama’s too close to the center. He’s the MOST Liberal Left President to ever occupy the White House!

Ever hear of Theodore Roosevelt? Now that is a real liberal (and Republican)! Now if only Obama could be half the liberal that Teddy was.

Actually the Democrats are very close to the Republicans, only the Progressive Democrats are on the left side and have means to actually start fixing the man made problem we are in.

Back in 1955, the top 1% earned about 20 times as much as the median worker, and paid a tax of 91% on most of their unearned income. When people said, ‘Tax the rich’ there wasn’t much there to tax.

We need to keep reminding people that, back in 1955, the rich had very little to tax, that taxing them 100% would cover less than 5% of the Federal budget, and that a 100% tax is not fair.

Now that the top 1% earn more than 100 times as much as the median worker and many pay less than 15% tax, we need to keep reminding people of the conclusion from 1955 that there is almost no money to be gotten from them, what we need is to cut those wasteful entitlements.

People pay their payroll taxes, and the average payers collect more than they put in, equivalent to a 5% return on their taxes. But Aristotle proved that it is immoral to earn a 5% return on taxes. It is immoral for the average serf to get back a penny of the taxes paid, all those taxes must go to maintain the Empire and the aristocracy. So we have to stop returning those taxes people paid for Social Security and Medicare and use that money to balance the budget and keep the Empire safe from jihadists and sharia law and lower that crippling 15% tax on the job creators.

Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, October 18, 1785:
“But the consequences of this enormous inequality producing so much misery to the bulk of mankind, legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property … [ One ] means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise.”

Quick, please define what a Communist is? Can’t do it can you. Your comment is just a bunch name calling, drivel and reactionary right wing talking points.

The ignorance of most US citizens amazes me. By andy rational standard President Obama is a right centrist. The GOP are either greedy or insane, with very few exceptions.

‘any’ not ‘andy’, though I’m sure Andy Rational (whoever he is) has standards :-)

This is of course using the American political spectrum, in which anything that doesn’t put more cash in the wallet of a rich old white guy is considered “communist”.
By any REASONABLE spectrum, Obama is center-right and the Republicans are toeing the edge of the fascism abyss.

You sir, clearly don’t know history. Trying to compare Obama right of Reagan is the latest laughable excuse to get away with ruining the economy and you low information voters keep swallowing it hook line and sinker. And I don’t need Fox News. I can think for myself and can see clearly what Obama’s doing. You tho can’t wait to see Jay Carney’s latest spewing of lies.

Not really. Obama’s stands in practice have been little different from Bush or Reagan. Note that:
    1. He continued the Patriot Act (despite promises to the contrary)
    2. He expanded the spying on Americans established under Bush II.
    3. He has proposed fewer taxes than Reagan or Bush I, and they started lower than anyone’s.
    4. He has proposed “grand bargains” that essentially sacrificed Medicare and Social Security in order to get ANY raises in taxes to a level that would still be lower than any recent president except Bush II, angering his own party. (The GOP turned him down, but that was foolish — they would have gotten their “smaller government” willingly from Obama)
    5. So-called “Obamacare” is a GOP plan first to last, and until Obama took it up as his THIRD choice plan (arguably fourth), it was praised widely by the GOP. Note that it does almost nothing to correct the real problem with healthcare in this country — the insurance industry — and in fact REQUIRES people to buy insurance from those selfsame companies.
    6. He has appointed an SEC “watchdog” who comes from one of the companies she is supposed to watch, and is unwilling to actually enforce the laws on them.
    7. He has helped (through bailouts) various industries, including banks, the auto industry, etc., while imposing no real oversight and in the case of banks doing nothing to bring the culprits to justice who used illegal acts to bring down our entire freaking economy.
    8. He has done nothing whatsoever to scale back the Pentagon while expanding a number of military programs, especially drones.
    9. He has failed to support labor in any way.
Need I go on? What people falsely call “radical Marxist” is really moderate Republican. Since there ARE none of those in national politics anymore, they are claiming he is radical.
As others point out, Teddy Roosevelt was considerably more liberal than Obama in 1912! (Go check the Progressive Party platform of 1912 if you don’t believe me. I’ve posted it before.)
Obama, like Clinton before him, is a Republican. God knows he certainly isn’t a “left wing radical” or “Socialist” or “Marxist” or any of that nonsense.
If he nationalized healthcare (not just provided national insurance — which was choice #1 for him), or jailed bankers and took their property and money for redistribution, or passed confiscatory taxes, or something like that, THEN he would be a radical. He’s nowhere near there.
