If he flaunts it, he may not have to use it. Then we’ll never know if they really work.

When you put WMD’s on the table you are asking for trouble.
These are weapons of intimidation, and no one wants to know if they work. Plus once let loose chemical and bio weapons are wild cards, they go where the winds or where infected people go.

Hitler had a massive stockpile of chemical weapons but didn’t use them. Let’s hope that Assad considers the reasons why he didn’t.

@GreggW
Hitler had a bad experience with chemical weapons during the Great War so he had a certain fear of them.

Chemical weapons are the poor country’s nukes. The USA has regularly used the threat of H-bombs to other countries including Iraq.

Since NATO’s collective tail seems to be between its collective legs these days, I wonder if even the use of chemical weapons would spur NATO to action. (We already know that China and Russia would keep right on with their vetoes at the Security Council.)

It’s curious that Willard does not weigh in on Syria. His foreign policy advisors are the same as Bush’s.
-
What do they think we should be doing?
Nothing?
Invade?
No fly zone?
-
Maybe Willard has a secret plan to end bloodshed in Syria, but you people know all you need to about it.

Mittens will never weigh in on ANYTHING. If he’s too moderate, he loses the Tea Partiers; if he’s too right wing, he loses the centrist independents. So he stays quiet and hopes both sides project their desires onto him.

If his foreign policy advisors are the same as Bush’s, then their advice would probably be the same as when Saddam claimed that Iraq had WMDs. Since you didn’t like what they did then, what would you suggest we do?

Willard has surrounded himself with the kind of scary cold warriors who like the blood that is stuck in their eyes. Nuke ‘em and we are all in the same room with it. They want to attack, or have and support Israel’s own wild eye fanatics who want to nuke Iran.

You missed the only viable option for robmey. You asked what we should doing?
Nothing?
Invade?
No fly zone?
when the only acceptable option to robmey and the republican’ts is"
Whatever will enrich their friends and campaign buyers at taxpayer expense. Then cut taxes on the wealthy so they don’t have to give back any of their exorbitant gains.
