I can imagine that there was SOME overlap…

They ARE cooperating: the Secret Service scandal has taken the heat off of GSA. For the moment, at least. Let’s see who fouls up next to deflect the spotlight from the SS.

This and things like this are the reason we need smaller government. But President Obama has increased the size of government by 147K employees and 5 trillion in added debt. Can we survive another 4 years of unrestrained spending and waste?

So that’s why the Minerals Resources dept had to do cocaine and have sex with prostitutes and lobbyists under the Bush administration to cover up their failures?

Oh, for God’s sake. ONE DAY without an off-topic slam of Obama? Too much to ask?

I still don’t get the part where the guy from the Secret Service did not catch on that the woman he picked up in a bar and spent the night with was not a prostitute. Great detective instinct.

Might I point out that all of the Secret Service personnel have not been accused of inappropriate behavior. All were recalled to get to the bottom of this. Had it been employees of an oil company, nothing would have been done, They would just have been supporting the local economy. What has happened to the 20 or so military personnel present? Do we have a double standard here?

Typical Washington Mentality: Do as I say, Not as I do.
If they audit the depts in Washington there is going to be lots of Terminations.

the number of federal employees under Obama has dropped by almost a full percentage point of total population – the growth in 3 years has been about 20K . where are you getting the figure you quoted?

Just what Congress ordered! A way for pompous congresspersons to call for hearings to show how righteous they are by condemning the evils of bureaucracy. Thank goodness we can look forward to Olympics coverage, instead.

“Had it been employees of an oil company, nothing would have been done.”

    Done by whom? The government?

Here’s a headline for you: If it was oil company employees, it would be NONE OF THE GOVERNMENT’S BUSINESS!!!!

Here’s an analysis of government growth over the past 10 years. I hope this helps you understand this better. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2011/aug/05/tom-coburn/sen-tom-coburn-says-government-twice-size-it-was-d/

Here’s a list of President Obama’s “failures” from one of your own: http://obamalies.net/list-of-obamas-failures

I would suggest that an more objective observer might call these “points of disagreement” rather than “failures”, but I leave that up to you the reader.

On the other hand, from our side, here’s a list of President Obama’s achievements:

We could, of course, call these “points of agreement” rather than “achievements”, but I leave that up to the gentle reader to decide.
