Why, it’s almost as if he doesn’t participate in our lives at all!

I wonder which HR-6341 this is referring to. Is it the one from 2006 about funds to help rebuild Iraq, from 2008 on regulating energy derivatives, or from 2012 to allow a partial exclusion of foreign-earned income of government contract employees.

None of them seem the kind of thing to trigger righteous wrath.

Or it might be a random number, and the real point is that it is very difficult to tell from hurricanes what God is saying, given the wide scale destruction.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care.” (NIV)
He doesn’t STOP them from falling, just allows it. Throwing a few hurricanes around to influence legislation (or to protest gay marriage, or whatever) is actually progress.
Plus: inflation. The price of sparrows these days is simply outrageous.

Given that this is the Thursday re-run, it’s important to check the date.

Since this comic is from 2005, it probably isn’t any of them.
