You know, I’m not sure if I should be really scared that this is SO TRUE, or what??

Took me a moment to notice the sniper rifle in the clock tower in the last panel.

I guess the same logic would apply to nuclear weapons. Every country should have them.

Ban forks. They make people fat.

@TheRealZarthArn
N. Korea and Iraq would agree having nukes keeps other more dangerous countries, like the USA an China, from invading or attacking.

Given what happened in Colorado last week I’m surprised this is still up. Broom Hilda’s Wednesday strip was changed. In that one a little girl, who always shouts, said she’s not allowed in theaters because during action/adventure movies people can’t hear the gunshots.

To me it’s pretty amazing that this was written in 1999, and yet seems so contemporary.

I think this strip was shown Because of the Colorado shootings— not in spite of them.

Yeah, a maniac wearing body armor with high powered assault rifles facing off against some God-fearin’ NRA member who has spent a lot of time at the range, but who has never been in a real life-or-death situation. I’m thinking maniac still shoots a lot of people and others get caught in the cross fire.

What’s unfortunate is that the Eddie Eagle program is brought in to this in the first place.
Eddie Eagle does NOT teach you how to handle a gun, does NOT teach 2nd amendment rights, does NOT encourage the ownership of guns. In fact, it teaches kids to treat guns as though they were snakes: If you find one, don’t touch. Leave the area and tell an adult. If your friend has one, don’t play with it or even stick around – just leave the area and tell an adult.
The program is intended mostly to eliminate unintended shootings involving kids who don’t receive firearms safety instruction as a matter of course while growing up.

2nd amnd. refers to a militia, not individuals.

Dear Comrad Eklla:
See Public Law 109-92 and D.C. v Heller. The right of the PEOPLE – not the muilitia – to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.
Dear Comrad Rueben Bollins:
As gun ownership in America continues to reach a/ll time hystorical highs, gun related deaths of children have DECREASED.

Also Brazil beats us for gun related deaths by a factor of 3. In the USA more people die from self inflicted gunshot wounds then by other means.
