Actually, American jet pilots had considerable difficulty shooting down those little biplanes… the Sabres were too fast.
One pilot slowed down sufficiently to shoot one down … then stalled out and crashed.

Could have used real Korean instead of Chinese, similar but entirely different as Korean is phonetic and Chinese is ideographic.

That script is NOTHING like Chinese. I don’t know if it’s real Korean or what it may say. I don’t read Korean … but I do read Chinese.

My browser doesn’t show Korean characters when I used Google Translate, but I’ll paste it in here to see if it’s visible to any of you (to compare with the cartoon).

Those are Korean letters. And Korean words. The word-for-word translation is “You Red Baron Curse" but ‘curse’ is not a verb in this usage, but a noun. Snoopy always used the verb form of ‘curse’.

Ever seen the movie “The Final Countdown”?
Great dogfight between two F-14 Tomcats, and two Japanese Zeros.
Really funny watching the Tomcats trying to slow down enough to stay behind the Zeros!

I liked that movie. I’m just not sure a heat seeking missile can track a propeller plane.
(Would have been neat to see them take on the Japanese Navy.)

Sure a heat-seeker will track a prop plane. Gasoline engines throw out quite a bit of heat…

I love it when our Queen interacts with a dictator – he’s no match for her!

I wonder if “curse” in this context is analogous to “scourge”.

It must be quite a mob scene, with all those desperate North Koreans trying to get a piece of the downed Camel.
