must be watching g4. the channel that used to have original programming and launched so many careers, has fired everyone and canceled all original programming, and will become cops, cheaters, and infomercials.

Bad boys bad boys, what chew gonna do?
They were going to have a British Cops but all they could do was say: “Stop, or I shall be forced to shout ‘Stop’ again”. It’s boring when the bad guys run away every time. And with the high price of petrol no one can afford to have a high-speed auto chase.

Be grateful it isn’t the British version of LAW & ORDER, where the judges and attorneys have to wear those silly powdered wigs!

We have distorted the faces of those smart enough not to have signed the release form.

I love this. Even when I’m sick and feel horrid, I can count on Victoria for a good laugh. :)

I find myself switching to the ID channel when I want to have something that can pass as a radio show (so I can listen and still get things done while being amused). I do a lot of cooking and craft projects while a crime drama is on, and just glance to see the perps.

I’ll admit that COPS was one of my guilty pleasures back when I actually watched television. I loved the ones set in cities like Boston, just because the accents always amused me.

I was working for a law enforcement agency a long time ago and Cops was filming at one of our precincts. A cop, while wearing latex gloves, had an accidental discharge, he might have shot himself in the leg or foot, I don’t remember. The Chief asked for the footage, they said no but that they wouldn’t air it. I am certain it was aired as part of their blooper reel at their Christmas party.

@Ms. Ima
I once saw a special episode of Cops taped in England, and I was amazed at the difference; officers were actually arresting people instead of hunting them down like animals. Wow.

It’s the same reason my wife is addicted to “Maury” — people can’t avoid train wrecks.
