It looks like Corey, Phil, and Joe don’t find out the facts before they get all upset.
The facts about the privatization bill is that it does not affect anyone over 55.

Good thing Shrub didn’t get that privitization thing in before the big banks melted the economy. And when you have paid max into SSI and Medicaid for 25 years, it’s fracking annoying when somebody calls these benefits. If GOPers want to privatize, write me a check for my contributions.

I don’t think I’ll be trusting Goldman Sachs with my cash in the near future.

Duh need a to look a bit closer its SS as in social security is broke its not really just that Ronnie Raygun borrowed so much that the fund is full of iou’s so is not gathering interest .
And all the poli’s are ib the federal retirement system and pay nothing into SS. Same with fed employees their retirement is fully funded and cant be touched ROFLMAO wonder how that came to be …
Oh yes that’s right they write the rules don’t they .

Except that privatization will not affect current retirees.
It would make the program survivable, put more money in the pockets of young people when they retire and be a boon to the economy. Anyone with a basic understanding of math and economics should be able to see this.

    Yes, it would.
Less money going into it means less money.
    .
The main reason for those screaming for privatization is so Wall St can even steal more money from it.
    .
The wage base of $110K should be eliminated, and the CEO stock bonuses should be taxed as well. Problem solved.
    .
The economy would not boom with more money going into the stock market.
Once the initial stocks have been offered, those companies don’t get any money from the stocks being sold again and again.
    .
Only Wall St makes the money.

And YOU need to get your facts straight. It was LBJ and the Great Society that started the raid on the Social Security Trust Fund.

I agree that it is OUR money they are spending. I am 68. I am STILL paying into the Social Security trust fund. However, don’t blame Ronald Reagan. It was YEARS before all the way back to LBJ. I was paying into Social Security when he was president and saw it on the news where LBJ started the raid.

Now you want to blame Wall Street for stealing? HAR, HAR, HAR!!!

It was LBJ and the Great Society that started the raid on the Social Security Trust Fund.

It has never been nor ever will be Wall Street! Get that straight!

In effect, Social Security payments to the Federal Government are a loan that pays NO interest. If they were simply FDIC insured savings accounts, all of us on Social Security would be getting much higher benefits. Liberals want to continue to take use our money and pay no interest, so they tell lies about privatization. Don’t believe the lies of Obama and his fellow socialists in the Democrat party!!!

So would lifting or removing the ceiling on social security taxes … and paying interest on all the money that every party’s government has taken out of the supposed “trust fund” and put into the general fund to make their budgets look better. Where do you think the $$ came from for all those Republican wars continued by this Democratic president?

You got that right! Some people will keep doing what they have been told, and voting against their own best interests. The chance of any of them who support and are backing Wall Street, don’t seem to hear what you just said.
The chances of them joining the top 700 or so Americans who are called “the rich” are so miniscule. Please tell whoever you can. The ones that need to hear it the most won’t listen, but not everyone is that way.
