If only they didn’t hire dumkopfs as inspectors…

    Shouldn’t they all be Chinese?

Except for the inspector, he doesn’t even exist.

    Apparently, it’s also have-your-kid-cut-your-hair day.

I see he’s strategically hiding a whip behind his back.

Now it can be told – the idea for the Nike “swoosh” comes from the sound the wind makes as it whistles in one ear of the inspector and out the other.

    Swoosh.

The Nike swoosh is actually a stylized wing. Nike, herself, is actually the Greek winged goddess of victory.

A picture of a famous statue of Nike.

As a side note, I’ve often wondered how anybody can copyright the name of a goddess.
Mazda, the Zoroastrian god of light, is another one, and was first used in North America as a brand name for a line of automotive light bulbs before it became a line of Japanese cars..

The comic, although funny, isn’t really funny. Your comment made me laugh, though.
One of the things I tell myself almost on a daily basis – ‘Just do it!’.

Not necessarily incompetent, could be on the take, or on the payroll for the corp.

Should be addressed, but with $$$, the only thing these days…

It is not the name of the ancient action hero that gets copywritten, it is the logo and the font of the type.
