    The Agony in the Garden has a short description in its current-location page along with a different coloration image. More about the painting can be found here, along with a few detail images. This praises one particular aspect of the painting (not sure that it’s an Italian hilltown though). This concentrates on the motivation. This has a different coloration enlarged detail image. The artist‘s Wikipedia page and collection (more under Subcategories at each level).

    So far, 3 works by this artist have appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog.

    P.S. The Wikipedia page for this painting has the Google translated title as Christ on the Mount of Olives. Isn’t that a different event?
