The “stability” is that the rightwingers complain no matter what he does.

If Obama were able to get the Prince of Peace to rule Egypt, right-wing crazies like Mr. Kelley would still rant and rave. What is the right’s foreign policy, anyway? Besides repealing the health-care act, I mean.

Typical mindless complaining by the Right. What exactly could anyone from the U.S. have done to produce a guaranteed stable outcome in Egypt (or any of the other Arab countries that experienced the Arab Spring)? What magic wand of diplomacy by Americans would have allowed all the pent up anger and the factional differences in these nations to have produced a stable outcome?

Nothing… That is why this conservative calls for the return of ALL American troops from ALL foreign locations, everywhere.
We can use them back here at home – along our southern boarder for one.

I agree with most of what you said, particularly the U.S. ceasing to try being the world’s policeman. Our military-industrial complex is far too powerful and distorts our foreign policy.

Lets see, Egypt was stable before Obama came into office. Then the threat of withholding Foreign Aid helped remove them, the rest speaks for itself. It was very much driven by the drivel of an uninformed President. What could we have done, look at what we did, especially while our Ambassador kept making excuses for the Muslim Brotherhood. Then our utter silence when the Coptic Christians were being burned out persecuted and killed in Egypt (they also make up about 15% of the Egyptian military. Now Egypt is talking to Putin) (who would love to use Hillary’s reset button with Egypt ) and the US is hated by every side in Egypt. Now we have a mess. And the democrats simply look around and say "what happened? The sheer stupidity and ignorance is almost overwhelming. You leftists will defend anything no matter how bad it is because for you its the old socialist phrase party uber alles.

Save the tinfoil hat conspiracy theories of the military industrial complex for the little coffee klatches at Starbucks. Military industrial complex makes up about 4 or 5% of GDP, Welfare is around 8% of GDP.
