Forward and start spending some money on some badly needed infrastructure, starting with that road that needs paving. And tax the rich to pay for it. There’s ample wealth in the U.S. to get the economy going and the workers working. But the wealth has to be mobilized.

Rebuilding the infrastructure should be a priority. Roads, sewers, electrical grid are just a few items in need of revamping. Put people to work while money is at a low cost. Spend and create a win/win situation.

If Obama’s second term is like his first term, then he’ll be too busy trying to ram through his social policies and playing golf to actually push for an infrastructure bill.

“…..There is ample wealth—just look at how much was wasted on political campaigning….”
    Good point.

^^Wrong on both counts. You’ve got to work on your personal vindictiveness.

So tell us about the social bills presented in congress by the right while they were laser focused on jobs.

    Obama has a plan.
    The GOP shot it down.

I am happy to second that!

The truly great philosopher Aristotle once told a greet truth in “Moderation in ALL things!”. and I would even include political rhetoric on these boards in that philosophy!!

I agree with your points about why Republicans lost but you forgot about the fact that we told the hard truth to people. Many of the people would rather ignore those facts and be patronized with promises of free stuff. I guess that’s why most of us were Democrats when we were young and living off the support of our parents. Most of us eventually grew up and learned how to take care of ourselves and thus don’t need the government hold on to our money and doling it out as they please. Many never did grow up.
