    Miracles happen, more so probably in those days than today (though they still do). God kept them from starving, kept their clothes from wearing out, and otherwise provided.
    It actually didn’t take them that long to cross the desert. They had to wander for 40 years as punishment for not trusting God to help them conquer the land.
