Sorry, it does not work for me. The ratio of narcissistic celebrities to relatively normal people (such as an aerospace retiree like myself) in California is at least 10,000 to 1. But of course, the amount of publicity received by those same celebrities is also about 10,000 to 1. So naturally, people from other states think that is the way all Californians are. And that just is NOT the truth!!

A good answer, but it’s not the one I would have written.

Take a look at the state finances and rethink your position.

How about all the restrictive laws in that state?
California emissions is a great waste of money. It raises the cost of a car greatly, and their special one-state-only gasoline is about 50¢ a gallon higher than just about everywhere else but Hawaii.
Their “premium” gasoline is only 91 octane – our premium here in Pennsylvania is 93 octane, and until just a couple of years ago, Sunoco offered 94-octane Ultra.

At least Stockton gets to be the first major city in recent history to go bankrupt. And now the liberal dominoes will start to fall.

I am surprised that Skylar even knew the word, let alone what it means.

Hey all you good California haters, I really dislike having to give you facts, as you just will probably not listen anyway. You have already made up your ultra conservative minds. Perhaps as you are such financial geniuses you might just find the simple fact that California is the ONLY state in the USA that has a Gross State Product greater than $2 trillion dollars, see here:
    http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/gdp_by_state

The nearest GSP to California is that of Texas with a GSP of about $1.5 trillion GSP. If you put this together with the fact that the taxpayers of California pay $1.00 in federal taxes. and only get back some $078 per taxpayer, the rest of the people of this great country had better hope that the economy of California does well, as the economy of the rest of this country is going to follow . So if the economy of California is really collapsing (as some here seem to think it is) then the economies of almost all of the other states in the US are going to very quickly also collapse!

You know, I like most of my fellow Californians do not hold anything against any other state in the USA, I fully believe that they all have their good and bad points, so I do get somewhat tired of all the ultra conservative types in other states that seem to hate everything about my own state. California (like a great many other states) has indeed had its recent economic difficulties, but also like most other states we are steadily if somewhat slowly pulling out of the economic doldrums. At least the rest of the people of the other states of this great nations should hope so at any rate!!

How could name the biggest fault in CA? There are far too many contenders. You’d never get past their politicians, like the senile Brown, much less start into the corrupt public employee union people.
