   Pirate, the threats you hear from the president are designed to build the fear in you. Really? You think that subtracting 44 billion from the 1.2 trillion dollars that the president plans to spend over and above the the 2.8 trillion dollars projected to be collected is going to cause mass layoffs of firemen, police, teachers, EMT’s and force the release of criminals or shut down daycare centers across the nation?
   
   Obama’s spending plan includes 1.5 trillion in “discretionary” spending. Programs that do not have anything at all to do with any of those threatened layoffs. Shoot, the amount saved from the sequester doesn’t even pay for the years interest payment on what we already owe.
   
   That amount would run the entire government for about 4 days…maybe.
   
   So yeah, google it. I’m sure the media chorus that echo’s Obama’s every word is making dire predictions.
