Well, pretty soon the Republicans will be getting their way. The Supreme Court is about to strike down a crucial part of the Voting Rights Act. They will make it harder for minorities to vote, and it will be legal. Justice Scalia said that the right of blacks to vote was some kind of government entitlement. So people, if you want a Facist run country…you’re getting it in leaps and bounds. These are the judges that were appointed by Bush so go ahead and keep criticizing Obama. But then, maybe that’s exactly what you want…and if so, then I hope you get it. A totally Republican government will finish crushing the middle class and poor so unless you are among the super wealthy, be prepared.
Even if you’re white, if you’re not rich, they will crush you too. I’m white but I’m also old and hopefully will be gone before too much longer so I won’t have to witness the downfall of this country.
Sorry to make this lovely strip a political issue.

It’s actually Obama and the Dems that have crushed the poor and middle class. Their blind sheep just keep following, unaware of the slaughter they’re being led to. Why will it be harder for minorities to vote? Because they’ll have to show some kind of ID? Should have been mandatory all along for EVERYONE to stop voter fraud.

Try to get your facts straight. That portion of the VRA in question was necessary back in the ’60’s and was an entitlement to blacks of the time because states were trying to block them from voting. Iit has been proven by vote that it is no longer necessary so needs to be repealed. As for making it harder for minorities to vote that is a bull crap non-issue that you liberals keep pounding on. Voter ID is the fairest way to make sure ONLY legal citizens are allowed to vote. If minorities can’t take the time, effort & minimal cost of getting themselves a valid ID, then they have nobody but themselves to blame if they can’t vote. I’m sure they have ID’s if they ever go into a bar or buy liquor or in some states cigarettes. If they drive they have ID. If they have a bank account they have ID. The only people the Voter ID laws stop from voting are those who are here illegally or are dead & buried. You might enjoy having your vote count for nothing, but I don’t, nor do a lot of others.

The GOP is closer to the Fascists and the Dems are closer to the Communists. I don’t care to live under either totalitarian government.

The GOP are the fascists and the Democrats are too gutless to call them out on it. I fear for this country’s future if the lunatics on the right ever get back in power.

The differences between Communists and Fascists are technical and relatively minor.

The Democrats are closer to both than the Republicans. Think of a scale fro 0 to 10, where 0 is slavery and 10 is freedom and prosperity. Communists and Fascists are at or below zero. Democrat leaders are at 0.5. Republican leaders are at 0.7.
