One NYC money center bank I worked for urged its employees to put their profit sharing into company stock.
A horrible idea, if the company goes down, you lose your IRA. Butt it is profitable for the senior execs who get paid in options.
Anyway they were merged with Chemical Bank with the name of the new bank being "Chemical’. I read an analyst say the best thing about the forced merger was the didn’t make the same mistakes.
