    This got me to look up when the girls ran into Melanie way back in the Case of the Team Spirit, which was here: https://www.gocomics.com/bad-machinery/2016/07/17But Shauna wasn’t present.Shauna did visit the shop, though, in the Case of the Lonely One: https://www.gocomics.com/bad-machinery/2017/06/06It seems like Melanie wasn’t there at the time.But given that the girls apparently frequented both Bric a Brac and the Bank of Burgers, I think Shauna and Melanie had probably met.

    The sewer worker is Colin, Lottie’s mum’s boyfriend. Lottie’s dad died many years ago when she was small. The identity of the person on the roof is still unknown.
